Marlin Mahem in Madeira!

For my birthday yesterday, I chartered motor yacht BALANCAL, what a day we had.

With Captain Anibal Fernandes and Captain James Roberts as crew, and myself as the angler, we successfully raised and caught an estimated 2,550lbs of BLUE MARLIN in three fish! Here are some of the sketchy details from an andrenalin pumped day.

All three fish were caught aroung the Ribeira Brava area.

At 12.15 we successfully caught and released, after a 19 minute fight, an estimated 850lb Blue Marlin.

At 13.30 we successfully caught and released, after a 23 minute fight, an estimated 750lb Blue Marlin.

At 16.00 we successfully caught and released, after a 30 minute fight, an estimated 950lb Blue Marlin.

The conclusion, the Madeira fishery is strong again!
